After eleven years out of music, DJ LostnFound drops his smash debut album, “Caesura.” Supported by the singles “Tunnel,” “Start It Up,” & “Scars,” the album was looking promising. The self-proclaimed DJ Khaled of CHH gathered 26 artists, both signed, major, and independent. His goal for the album was to highlight artists under the radar, giving them a chance for exposure. That’s what the body of Christ is about!

The album features Xay Hill, Shiwan, Th3 Saga, Selah The Corner, and more!

PRODUCTION

The album produces a distinct amount of diverse styles and sounds from different voices. Tracks like “Nothing Less” & “Endure” are more on the singing-rap side, “Tunnel” is an anthem and song for the gym, and “Start It Up” is also a song for the gym!

LYRICS

The story in each song was well told. Most of the artists’ verses reflect the heart of DJ LNF on each song's topic. “Black in America” is a heart-wrenching letter from a black man, father, and son. “Tunnel” is about taking the shot like Kobe. That should’ve been played on ESPN! Both of these songs are my personal favorites. “Roc Tha Mic” is a SUPER dope cypher track. Every rapper on that track gave their most intricate bars.

CONCEPT

The album is a compilation of the thoughts and heart of DJ LNF. It highlights his journey during his “pause” from music. Using his testimony in a musical art form was his way of saying I’m back like I never left.

FINAL THOUGHTS

DJ LNF left a mark on Christian Hip Hop with this album. In eight tracks, he proved to be a great curator in the space. The artists he picked for the album were all dope. Their styles matched the vibe of each song he was looking for. They delivered well. DJ LNF delivered well.
