NYC Christian Hip-Hop Part 3: Moving Forward

As we enter the third quarter year, there is still work to be done.
As the Kingdom Choice Awards (KCA’s) approaches; on Broadway, we were blessed with events and albums from artists in NYC. We just had Revive III, Richard Dauphin dropped his long-awaited album “Vanguard Talk,” Slave da Nyth Inning’s retirement concert, and more!
So the big question for NYC CHH is: what’s next?
Here are my opinions, predictions and thoughts I have to further push CHH in NYC:
Annual CHH events other than the Kingdom Choice Awards (Kingdom Rising, Barcode, something similar to RapFest)
More album release concerts. CONQUEST set the standard of what an album release concert should look like. Not just rapping and singing music from the album, but presenting it as a story/movie. Invite the audience into your mind, story and life.
NYC Christian Hip Hop community events where we get together to fellowship and network. The CHHA.
A NYC compilation album.
More newly emerging CHH artists from the New York area.
More people coming to Jesus through CHH events.
As NYC CHH continues its resurgence, I pray our unity gets stronger for the world to see and that New York has something to say. As a hip-hop head and Christ follower, I believe NYC is the best representation of producing hip-hop with faith-based lyricism and straight up bars!
Also, I curate a playlist with some of NYC’s dopest rappers and singers on Spotify. Take a listen.
I also have a classic NYC Christian Hip Hop playlist to honor the OG’s in the space. Take a listen.
Can't forget about the ladies of NYC Christian Hip-Hop! Take a listen.
